SoundPLANnoise has a ‘little brother’ named SoundPLANessential. It is meant for the occasional user, who deals with smaller projects and therefore can do without the advanced features of SoundPLANnoise. None of the Nordic calculation standards - General Prediction Method, Road Traffic Noise, Rail Traffic Noise, NORD2000 - are implemented, hence SoundPLANessential is for users of e. g ISO9613, CNOSSOS.
